PRIVATE CHEF COURSES
The modern day Private Chef needs to possess an array of innovative high level skills and knowledge to be able to cater for the differing needs and expectations of guests whilst using and sourcing fresh and fine ingredients.
The Chef Benson-Smith Academy are launching private professional Chef courses commencing in 2020.
These courses will be hands on with a mixture of practical and theory-based training which will include an accredited food principles and food safety qualification held within our Academy Development kitchen in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
All key food groups will be covered from stocks to sauces, fish, meat, poultry, dough, pastry, desserts, vegetables and vegan dishes from preparation to cooking and presenting ensuring that different dietary needs are catered for.
These courses are ideal for those wishing to embark upon the path of being a private chef whether this is to be on a residential scale or working on luxury yachts or chalets within popular ski resorts.
All courses will be run in small group sessions to ensure the focus is on the quality of skills and knowledge delivered.
Accommodation links can be provided for local Bed & Breakfasts and/or Hotels dependant on your individual preferences and needs
Monday 23rd March – Friday 27th March 9.30am to 5.00pm daily
Monday 18th May – Friday 22nd May 9.30am to 5.00pm daily
Monday 15th June – Fri 19th June 9.30am to 5.00pm daily
Monday 17th August – Fri 21st August 9.30am to 5.00pm daily
PRICE AND CONTENT
£750.00pp which includes:
Professionally led Chef Training on all key aspects of food preparation, cooking and presenting skills across key food groups ensuring that differing dietary requirements and allergens are catered for. All produce will be fresh and locally sourced (*subject to availability)
An accredited Level 2 Food Preparation and Cooking qualification (assessed via a portfolio of evidence)
An accredited Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualification - allergens included (exam based on final day)
Chef Benson-Smith endorsed certificate of completion
Portfolio of evidence including theory-based workbooks and recipes
Lunch and refreshments each day
